7yr old Sascha Parker-Eade has been riding in the show ring since the age of 3. Sascha was born to compete competitively, coming from a long line of equestriennes going back 4 generations. Sascha's first pony, Fenwick Orthello, was a wonderful companion for her, 'babysitting' her while everyone was fussing over the show ponies and hacks. 'Otty' was a large black Shetland, whom taught her many lessons when she was only 2 yrs old. 'Otty' was sold on with much sadness, and ended up in a top show home.

Not too long after 'Koorana Royal Sensation' was purchased for Sascha to compete in Leading Rein classes. 'Mickey' was a timid as a mouse, but yet as fast as a cheetah! Sascha and Mickey formed a special bond and this partnership has won many titles including SHC HOTY and ENSW HOTY. The duo have also won 3x Mac Bank Hack Championship Leading Rein Champions and represented NSW in leading rein at EA Nationals.

In 2013 Mickey was ENSW Rup small pony ridden by the lovely Kiara McEvoy. Due to Kiara being unable to attend Nationals, Sascha took over the reins. Sascha only had limited outings before Nationals in December, but did a fantastic workout to be placed =3rd. She was so determined and worked very hard perfecting her workout before the show to her own music choice! A great achievement considering her first show on Mickey off the lead was late August.

Sascha had her first Royal Rider class at Canberra Royal 2013 riding her large pony 'Melody Park Heavenly Pearl'. Pearlie was purchased as a yearling for the future before Sascha was even born! Pearlie always takes very good care of Sascha and for this we can be eternally grateful. Pearlie carried Sascha around at Canberra like a pro to be placed 2nd in the u7 rider unattended. Later in 2013 Sascha and Pearlie teamed up again to win the 6-9 rider at NSW HOTY. Great task for a 6yr old in a strong field.

Sascha has recently formed a partnership with 'Koorana Pizazz'.  Zazzy and Sascha have achieved a lot of success at major shows over the past few months in the small hunter classes including VASA, Pacific Coast, Canberra Royal and recently All States Showdown held in Vic. Sascha is looking forward to a great 2014. Many thanks must go to Jess Stalling (J&R Equestrian) for the time and effort she has spent with Sascha and her ponies. She has been there from the very beginning and her influence on Sascha is irreplaceable.
